~~medulloblastoma~~ Brain Cancer

There is no other title – I want people to go “huh?” when looking at this post! I want everyone to know Tori’s story and to go on and share it from there! I think it is easy for every parent to realize that such a diagnosis has got to be a parents worst nightmare and I cant even begin to imagine!!! I am so honored and feel so blessed that Tori’s family allowed me to share their story and to hopefully have given them a bit of a fun time.

Since we all know that I am not much of a writer I had Tori’s mom put this together:

“Tori started having excrusicating headaches, dizziness and then nausea in March. Tori was raising money for another local girl with brain cancer and had raised almost $700 and was then, herself, diagnosed with brain cancer (medulloblastoma) on April 12, 2011. She had surgery on April 15th and began radiation on May 16th. She will travel almost weekly, either for treatment or checkups, to Children’s Healthcare Of Atlanta Egleston for the next 55 weeks. The next round of chemo that will begin on October 24th will be very harsh for her and will make her, once again, lose all of her hair.”

You can probably imagine the strain these trips to Atlanta are putting on this family - emotionally and financially. There is an account set up at Columbus Community Bank PO Box 488 Fortson, GA 31808 and the account # is 21022048. Every $ is surely appreciated (I know I blew some money on completely stupid things this week that instead could have gone into Tori’s account)! Contact me if you would rather just get her a giftcard of some sort or anything else. If you want to follow Tori in her journey, go to www.carepages.com and search ToriSvenson.

Lastly, PLEASE copy this link and share it on your Facebook or email it out to whomever you know – if for nothing but awareness. Who knows – Tori’s symptoms might get a parent to realize that their own child needs to go see a doctor quickly!

Now please enjoy this beautiful family who was such a joy to meet:

~~Miss Challenge~~ Columbus, GA Newborn Portraits

Oh boy! What to say about Miss Mattie other then the most important thing – her portraits turned out amazingly beautiful and will surely be treasured for years and decades to come…

I must say my recent newborns have spoiled me – Miss Mattie made me WORK for my money – ha ha! She could not get enough milk in her but as soon as it was in, it came back out (I think I counted 6 filled diapers that went in the trash – definitely a record!!!). And she definitely broke the record of longest awake 8 day old baby – and all at the same time is ranking high in the record of cutest baby ever that allowed me to do just about anything I wanted! You would never know looking at her that she was so unhappy with me.

I am so incredible excited and happy about how this session turned out.

Look at Miss Mady! A little diva in the making! I just LOVE how she is standing on the deck looking around!!!!

6, 9 and a Happy Birthday SMASH

Well… without too much talking… here are a few of each of Graysen’s 6, 9 and 1 year old session images! I cant believe this little peanut, who was born just under 5 pounds , turned into such a healthy little dude! To this day, he was the only baby who I seriously thought I could break if I wasn’t even more careful then what I usually am! I certainly enjoyed watching him grow!
